Welcome to the award-winning Beck Junior High Band program! We feel that the study of a musical instrument offers a number of educational and life benefits. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to develop self-confidence, responsibility, discipline, coordination, dexterity, self-expression and many other valuable skills that will help you throughout your life, inside and outside your musical career. Band is a group activity that provides students the opportunity to develop unity, teamwork and cooperation. No other curriculum offers you, the student, so many opportunities to become a leader, team player, citizen and musician while gaining a better understanding and appreciation for one of our greatest mediums: Music!

Welcome to the Beck Junior High Choir program! We believe in delivering a strong foundation in music education and teaching the whole child. Membership offers many opportunities to grow in vocal technique, self-expression, responsibility, discipline and teamwork. Choir is for everyone, regardless of experience. Choir offers many fun events throughout the year, and we aim to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for our members!

We are the distinguished Beck Junior High Orchestra! Learning to play a musical string instrument like violin, viola, cello, or double bass offers endless possibilities and benefits for your student! Performing music will not only improve physical coordination and fine motor skills, but music transitions young growing adolescents into responsible, skilled, young adults! Discipline, problem-solving, patience, long-term & short-term goal-setting, goal achievement, time management, routine-building, creative thinking, maturity in emotional expression, team-building, and much more! Thinking about college? There are so many scholarship opportunities available! Colleges are looking for skilled string players to perform in their university orchestras for scholarship money- even if they are not majoring or minoring in music! The Beck JH Orchestra is the way to get started. We welcome both experienced students and beginning students without any prior musical knowledge. Can’t wait to meet you! Join the Excitement!
